Created a Masternode on Mac Desktop Wallet without reading Instructions

I thought I could just create a masternode directly on my mac so I simply put in the IP address of the mac and 10,000 coins and it got to an active state. Now is says missing which makes sense (I need to create the VPS after reading instructions). The 10,000 coins look like they are locked up under Coin Control. Is there a way to get the coins unlocked so I can properly setup a masternode with them? Does clicking on delete next to Status on the Masternode tab do that?

I was able to delete the master node and get the coins to an unlocked state.

How did you get your 10,000 GUAP back after mistakenly setting up the masternode first? I am having a similar problem. I set up the masternodes on grow our guap first before setting up a cold wallet on the mac desktop app. MN 154 and 158 haven't been recognized yet and I'm unsure of where to go from here. 

Please lend your advice.

Hi C.A!  Way to make effort to getting a masternode, that's exciting!  Just to clarify, did you recently transfer 10,000 coins to growyourguap, and now you're wanting to get them back to your desktop wallet?

Hey Keith, thanks for the positivity-- the learning curve is STEEP 😅. Honestly, I'm excited to learn more, invest in GUAP and earn passive income!

I transferred 19,000 coins in total and invested in three masternodes on growyourguap. But only the first investment, MN 152 is earning daily rewards. In the short term, I want to earn rewards on the remaining two masternodes daily. In the long run, unlock the total investment of GUAP to use in future transactions.

Yesterday, I finally opened the desktop app on mac in attempts to get the other two MN rolling. I incorrectly assumed I could take the coins straight from probit to growyourguap. According to my limited understanding, I should gone from probit to a desktop wallet first then synced the cold wallet to the growyourguap wallet so that the desktop wallet can account for the MN and rewards. Is this true? 

Another question; If I take out the investments from MN 154 and MN 158 and put them in the cold wallet (would need advice on how to do so) I would like to reinvest them in a masternode. When setting up the MN with VPS, I'm stuck at the step 4.2: getmasternodeoutputs because there is no data in the [ ].  

Do you know why MN 154 and MN1 158 aren't up? And what I can do to get them up and running?

Good job learning all you can!  Keep up that excitement and momentum, but also go slow and careful moving your Guapcoins around. Here are some quick answers for you:

Growyourguap

1. Your coins are stored on growyourguap and it doesn't require a cold wallet.  Any coins in your desktop wallet would be separate from growyourguap.
2. I'm gonna tag @admin Tavonia here about your MN 154 and 158 and withdrawing coins because she helps manage growyourguap and it's a project that might be shut down in the near future as developer resources need to be shifted elsewhere to help Guap grow and let the community manage their own masternodes.

Setting up your own masternode

1. You'll do this with the coins that are in your desktop wallet, not coins sent to growyourguap.  It's two separate things.
2. You'll want to follow the instructions here: https://www.guaptalk.org/topic/50-setting-up-your-own-masternode/
3. A lot of people have been having trouble setting up the MN via VPS due to troubles with the script, but many have been able to use either the pecuniaplatform talked about in the link above, or ihostmn.com to setup a MN.

You're so welcome, glad it was helpful and that Tavonia is helping you too.  Also, the development team has resolved the MN setup script issues so it should be easier now to setup a self-hosted MN (like through Digital Ocean, Vultr, etc) if ever want to.
